About Us

Andy and Haley live on a 60 acre farm in Connecticut that has been in the family for many generations. In the summer, they grow vegetables and animals, and in the winter, they fix stuff.  They like to forge and work wood respectively, or hunt and garden. They think life is more exciting when you’re creating something, be it edible, functional, or beautiful.

This looks great. I am assigning your blog to my eleventh graders in conjunction with our study of Thoreau. Any thoughts? Best wishes, CR

An excellent examination of modern hunting is Ted Kerasote’s “Bloodties” (http://www.kerasote.com/booksB.html). It explores the relationship between different hunters around the world and their prey, from American trophy hunters to Inuit subsistence hunters. I highly recommend it if you want to focus on that aspect.

Thanks for the replies everyone! Your support is everything to us.

      Hi Catherine,
Thanks! That really means a lot. Ask them to comment, too and I will reply to them. How is life in France, and your family? Thinking of a visit West (or really West) soon? There’s a chance of some venison in it if you make it all the way here. Miss you guys!
